Refund Policy

Clear, fair, and transparent policies for all your purchases

This Refund Policy explains how refunds, returns, and cancellations are handled for products and services purchased from Imbila Publishers through our website, phone, or official sales channels.

1) Physical Products (Books & Printed Materials)

Eligible returns may be accepted if:

  • You received the wrong item, missing item, or an item that is damaged/defective, or
  • You request a return for a change of mind (subject to conditions below).
Damaged/defective or incorrect items

Report the issue as soon as possible by emailing info@imbilapublishers.com with:

  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear photos of the damage/defect

If confirmed, we will offer a replacement or refund (including reasonable delivery costs where applicable).

Change-of-mind returns

To be eligible:

  • The item must be unused, unmarked, and in resalable condition
  • The item must be returned with original packaging where applicable
  • Delivery/shipping fees are not refundable unless the return is due to our error or a confirmed defect
Non-returnable items
  • Items that are clearly used, written in, or not in resalable condition
  • Custom-printed or personalised items made to order

2) Digital Products (Downloads)

Because digital products are delivered instantly and cannot be "returned," they are generally non-refundable once access is provided – except where:

  • The file is faulty, corrupted, or cannot be accessed
  • We cannot reasonably fix the issue

3) Services (Publishing, Editing, Design, Printing Orders)

For services, refunds depend on the work already completed and costs already committed.

Deposits & project milestones

  • Deposits are typically non-refundable, as they secure scheduling and cover initial work.
  • If you cancel a service after work has begun, you may be charged for work completed and any third-party costs (e.g., ISBN, illustration, printing setup, courier, etc.).

Printing orders

  • Once a print job is approved and sent into production, it cannot be cancelled without cost.
  • If Imbila makes an error, we will reprint or refund as appropriate.

4) Trainings & Events

Event tickets may be refundable depending on notice given and event commitments (venue, materials, speakers). Where refunds are not possible, we may offer a credit or transfer to a future session (where feasible).

Please contact us as early as possible if you need to cancel your event registration.

5) How Refunds Are Issued

Approved refunds are issued via the original payment method where possible (or an agreed alternative). Processing times may vary depending on your payment provider.

What to expect:
  • Refund processed within 5-7 business days after approval
  • You will receive a confirmation email once refund is issued
  • Bank processing times may add additional 3-5 business days
